Acne
Acne is a common skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide, including those living in Malaysia. In Malaysia, it is estimated that around 80% of teenagers and young adults may experience some form of acne. Acne is caused by the inflammation and blockage of hair follicles in the skin, which can result in the formation of pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. The exact cause of acne is not fully understood, but it is believed to be related to a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as hormones, diet, and stress.
In Malaysia, the hot and humid climate may exacerbate acne symptoms, as increased heat and humidity can cause sweating and skin irritation, which can worsen acne. Additionally, certain cultural practices, such as wearing traditional headwear or using hair products that contain oil, may also contribute to the development of acne.
